King of Checkers is made by DanCueDigital LLC, CueArcade Protected Series. This page explains exactly what the game collects, what it does not, and how to get anything removed. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

The short version: there are no ads, no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no third-party marketing tools anywhere in this game. Nothing about you is sold or shared for advertising. Most of what the game stores never leaves your device at all.

What stays on your device

The game keeps the following in your browser's local storage. It is not transmitted to us:

  • Your preferences - sound, board theme, language, difficulty
  • House Rules you've written and any rulesets you've saved
  • A random identifier used to attach your leaderboard results to your name
  • Finished games waiting to be sent when you're back online

Clearing your browser data erases all of it.

The leaderboard

If you put yourself on the leaderboard, you choose a display name and we store that name alongside your results - points, wins, losses, draws, and your best win. This is public by design; that's the entire point of a leaderboard. No email address or account is required to take part.

If you create an account

An account is optional, and only needed to carry your progress between devices or to play a friend online. If you make one we store your email address, your username, your game statistics, your synced settings, and whether you've bought the full unlock. Your email is used for account verification and password resets - nothing else. We do not send marketing email.

If you use the mobile app

If you turn on notifications, the app stores a push token so we can send the alerts you asked for. Turn notifications off and it stops.

Payments

Purchases on this website are processed by Stripe. Purchases inside the iOS or Android app are processed by Apple or Google. In every case the payment happens on their systems - we never see or store your card number. We receive only a confirmation that the purchase succeeded and a record for our accounts.

Others who touch your data

  • Cloudflare - serves and protects the site; sees your IP address as part of delivering it
  • Google Fonts - the game's typefaces load from Google, which means Google sees your IP when the page loads
  • Stripe / Apple / Google - payments, as above
  • Our own servers, which we run ourselves rather than renting from a data broker

That's the complete list. No analytics provider, no advertising network, no data broker.

Children

Checkers is a game for everyone, and the free tier needs no account and no personal information at all. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond a display name they choose for the leaderboard, and we show no advertising and do no behavioural targeting. If you're a parent and want something removed, email us and it's gone.

Getting your data removed

Do it yourself, in a few seconds: Settings, then Delete account, in the app or on this site. You type your player name to confirm and the account goes with everything attached to it, including your results, your leaderboard entry, your throne history and anything you uploaded. No reason required, nobody to approve it. See Support for the same steps written out.

If you would rather we did it, email support@kingofcheckers.com from the address on the account. We keep records of purchases for as long as tax law requires, because we have to, and those records do not carry your name.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and the new version appears here.
