Email support@kingofcheckers.com and a person will answer, usually within a day. Tell us the name you play under and what happened, and we can look it up.
The app is the same game as this website, and one account carries your results and purchases between them.
The app is on its way to the App Store and Google Play. Until then this website plays the whole game, and you can add it to your home screen.
Purchases follow two things: the store account that paid, and the King of Checkers account you were signed in to when you bought. Sign in with that same account and everything you own opens on any device.
In the app, open the menu and choose Restore on the purchase sheet. That asks the store to hand your purchases back, which covers a reinstall, a new phone, or a receipt that never arrived. If it still says nothing is there, email us: we can see what your account holds and put it right.
Our refund policy is 14 days, no questions asked. Where you ask depends on where you paid: a purchase made inside the app goes through Apple or Google, so it has to be refunded by them, and one made on this website is refunded by us.
One of you sets the table and gets a six character code. The other taps A Rival and enters it, or opens the invite link. Both of you need to be signed in, and both need a connection. If a table will not start, check that the code has not already been used and that you are both on the current version.
Table talk is filtered before anything is posted: slurs are refused outright and never reach the other player, and ordinary swearing is masked. That happens on our server, so no amount of fiddling with the app gets around it.
For everything a filter cannot catch, open table talk and tap Report or block this player. Reporting sends us what was said, with a copy we keep, and we read every one. Blocking ends that table at once and stops either of you challenging the other again. Neither is shown to the other player.
You can also email support@kingofcheckers.com with the name they play under and roughly when the game was. Accounts that abuse other players lose the ability to play rivals, and repeat offenders are removed. What we will and will not allow is set out in the Terms.
The whole game against the machine works with no connection, including House Rules and the archive. Three things need one: the leaderboard, rival matches, and the Immortal endgame, which reads a table too large to carry on a phone. Offline, Immortal plays as Unstoppable and your results are held and sent when you are back.
The harder the opponent, the bigger the reward. A win pays 25 against Warm-Up, 75 against Contender, 150 against Master, 300 against Grandmaster and 500 against Unstoppable, and a draw pays half. Immortal cannot be beaten, so holding it to a draw pays the full 750. Every piece you take pays and every king you crown pays, even in a game you lose. The full breakdown is under How scoring works, on the Board tab.
Results are queued while you are offline and sent the next time the game can reach us, so they usually turn up on their own. Ranked results need an account and official rules: House Rules games are unranked by design, since the rules are yours rather than the style's.
In the game, open Settings and tap Delete account. You type your player name to confirm, and it happens straight away: the account, your results, your throne history, your reports and anything you uploaded all go, and any throne you held opens for the next player. Nobody has to approve it and there is nothing to wait for.
Uninstalled the app already? The site is the same game. Sign in at kingofcheckers.com in any browser and the button is in the same place. If you cannot sign in, email support@kingofcheckers.com from the address on the account and we will do it for you.
What you bought does not come back afterwards, and a deleted name is free for anyone else to take, so ask for a refund first if you want one. Records of a payment that really happened are kept as long as the law requires, without your name attached.
